ABSTRACT
El reino de Fantasía está desapareciendo y todos, absolutamente todos, están angustiados con ello. Es preciso salvar a Fantasía y sólo un ser humano puede hacerlo. En la medida en que alguien lea La historia interminable , existe una esperanza de que Fantasía continúe existiendo. Bastián es el elegido, un niño aficionado a la lectura que, en la medida en que lea, podrá ingresar al mundo de Fantasía. En efecto, es absorbido por la historia y acompaña a Atreyu en sus aventuras cual si se tratara de él mismo. La confrontación de ese mundo de ficción con el de la realidad, le permitirá a Bastián además solucionar una serie de asuntos que dejó pendientes la vez que se abstrajo del mundo y se encerró en el desván del colegio a leer La historia interminable. Entonces, tanto el mundo de la Fantasía como el de la realidad se ven recompensados con esa interacción: Fantasía no deja de existir y de ese viaje a la Fantasía, el ser humano regresa reconciliado con la vida, con nuevas fuerzas para proseguir su camino, superando los obstáculos que le impedían continuarlo.
The Kingdom of Fantasy is disappearing and everyone, absolutely everyone, is distressed with it. Fantasy must be saved and only a human being can do it. As long as someone reads The Endless Story, there is a hope that Fantasia will continue to exist. Bastián is the chosen one, a child who loves reading, as long as he reads, he can enter the world of Fantasía. Indeed, he is absorbed by history and accompanies Atreyu in his adventures as if he were himself. The confrontation of this world of fiction with that of reality, will allow Bastián to solve a series of issues that he left pending when he was abstracted from the world and locked himself in the attic of the school to read The Endless Story. Then, both the world of Fantasy and that of reality are rewarded with this interaction: Fantasy does not cease to exist and from that journey to Fantasy, the human being returns reconciled with life, with new strengths to continue on his way, overcoming obstacles that prevented him from continuing.
